MUKWONAGO — Kids Connection Childcare Center opened a second location Monday after the business finished construction on their brand-new facility at 130 Chapman Farms Blvd. Located off Highway 83 on the village’s north side, the Chapman Farms facility is just over 10,000 square feet with enough classrooms to teach up to 148 children.
Tina Kraussel, Kids Connection owner, said the classrooms are equipped with features to improve the learning environment. “The facility is brand new, state of the art and has all of those things that make the learning environment more conducive,” Kraussel said. Kids Connection has other locations; however, the 913 Greenridge location was permanently closed Friday, Kraussel said.
The business now owns two locations, which include the new facility as well as a newly renovated child care center at 419 River Crest Court. Although the business closed one location, their overall capacity increased by 75 kids, Kraussel said.
The business intended to also close the River Crest Court location, but chose to keep it open to meet demand in Mukwonago and surrounding communities. “We found that it filled up quicker than we had anticipated, which is why we decided to keep the second location open,” Kraussel said. In addition to the day care center for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, Kids Connection runs before and after school programs for children 5 to 12 at Eagleville Elementary Charter, Clarendon Avenue Elementary, Section Elementary and Rolling Hills Elementary.
Kraussel and her husband Kris Kraussel have owned Kids Connection Childcare Center in Mukwonago since 2003. Their two children, Blake and Brody Kraussel, are now active Kids Connection employees after graduating college, Kraussel added. For more information, visit kidsconnection-childcare.com.
