Brady: 4Q earnings exceed expectations


MILWAUKEE (AP) — Brady Corp. (BRC) on Friday reported fiscal fourthquarter earnings of $36.6 million. On a per-share basis, the Milwaukee-based company said it had net income of 68 cents.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.

The identification and security products maker posted revenue of $295.3 million in the period. For the year, the company reported profit of $131.3 million, or $2.46 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.16 billion.

Brady expects full-year earnings to be $2.45 to $2.55 per share. Brady shares have increased 12% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 16% in the last 12 months.
